I grew up calling this a "Romper". Now it's either called a jumpsuit, play suit, onesies or a one-piece suit. It's an outfit: incorporating the trousers and top in one. Very similar to the what the skydivers wear. I love wearing jumpsuits because you need not look for a top to match your pants, shorts or skirt. For me the only disadvantage in wearing this is when you need to go to the bathroom. (My remedy: I wear a bandeau.)

Jumpsuits come in shorts or long pants: in 2014 the classic one piece suit evolved into a more trendy style, added volume and shortened hems - the culottes onesies.

Again a trick on wearing culottes or midis so you will never look short because of it's mid-calf length: wear a pair of wedge to elongate your legs. (*wink).
