What is the first thing that comes to our minds if we talk about tortoise? Of course ... Turtle or Tortoise! In the fashion scene, tortoise shell or
tortoiseshell is the material that comes from the shell of the hawksbill tortoise that is an endangered species. It was widely used before in making combs, sunglasses and etc. Tortoiseshell is brown and gold in color... very earthy and beautiful in appearance. Since it's already endangered, so companies now use faux tortoiseshell.
Tortoiseshell accessories (faux, of course) is one of the trends to watch out for this year... (Spring & Summer 2013)
